Wondering...

Every day, when I wake up and feel my body and know I am alive, It is obvious know who to be grateful with...

When I work, I know who makes me able to be there, but while I keep living my life (working, dreaming, walking, resting, watching tv, having fun, etc) one feeling used to sorround me, something is missing.

For a long while, my friends and family have known me for being the "good boy"... The one who is always there to help, listen, advise or just to be... I was used to follow their game, but still, something is missing.

Traveling has been fun and, thanks to it, I have seen a light, finally, after a long time looking for it. Now, it is just time to wait for God's will... The moment has come, I only have to pray and learn to identify the diferents signals that He has left and gives me every day.

Today, I am not feeling empty any longer, perhaps, reestablishing my spiritual journey makes me ask more and deeply in my heart. I am absolutely sure which is His will for me... To love and teach His thoughts to these in need...

So, I want to ask you: what is life with out love? What do you get being selfish? What is the real meaning of living? Where is your heart guiding you to?

Pedir perdón no es suficiente

  Hoy, 8 de febrero de 2022, me llené de frustración y tristeza al leer la noticia de El Tiempo en la que el Papa emérito Benedicto XVI pide perdón por los abusos cometidos por sacerdotes .   El sentimiento de frustración y tristeza llega porque a mis 19 años, en 2002, cuando yo era un joven inocente y virginal que tenía como única meta de vida dedicarme al servicio de la iglesia desde el sacerdocio para ayudar a los más necesitados, fui víctima de abuso por parte de uno de los superiores de la comunidad con la que hacía mi acercamiento y discernimiento vocacional. Yo en esa época creía en el celibato y lo vivía. ( Pero la historia completa de ese hecho no es el eje de este post, esa historia la escribió ya hace unos años un amigo para la BBC y aquí se puede leer ). Gente buena

Imagen creada por inteligencia artificial - 15 de diciembre de 2023 Hace diez años llegó el Papa Francisco a la cabeza de la Iglesia y recuerdo como con inmensa alegría, mientras estaba en alguna clase de mi posgrado en Brasil, celebré que fuera un Jesuita con buenas intensiones, con mucha sencillez, además de contar con un exceso de humanidad y empatía. Han sido diez años en los que el Papa ha trabajado constantemente para que la Iglesia Católica avance, se modernice y responda de una mejor forma a la necesidades de la sociedad actual. What if I would have done that? What if I would have worked here? what if I would have accepted that job offer? and it’s always more what if... It could even be an endless questioning. All this uncertainty comes to our minds because we want to accomplish dreams, plans and goals. As human being, we are always looking forward to getting what we want, so it is impossible to stop dreaming and longing, nevertheless what if we just do not say "what if" anymore.
